First Steps: A Guide for Parents of Children with Developmental Disabilities will help parents learn what services are available for children with special needs. Written by parents, the guide addresses emotional and physical stresses encountered in caring for children with developmental disabilities.

Planning Ahead: A Handbook for Parents, Family Members and Guardians of Adults with Developmental Disabilities is valuable to families in planning for the care of a family member after the loss of a parent or caregiver. The handbook includes information on government benefits, housing, health care, and other topics relevant to the quality of life for an adult with disabilities.
