Children and Families First
The Children and Families First Program is a full service school project offering the following services and programs to children and families in Charlotte County.
On-site services include:
- Gulf Central Early Steps provides service coordination staff and support staff to arrange community based developmental evaluation assessments and also provides speech therapy intervention and developmental screenings.
- Mental health counseling services at CFF/LBH provides assessment, referral, individual, family or group counseling services to children and families in the Englewood area.
- Delinquency Case Management (DJJ).
- Florida Diagnostic and Learning Resources System Speech and Hearing Evaluations (FDLRS) assists in locating, identifying and obtaining services for children who have disabilities or have special needs.
- Transitional Meetings inform and prepare a parent for possible transition to another program when the child reaches the age of three.
- Parent/Child Education Programs: TransParenting, and Sandcastles (please call for more information on parent programs)
- Substance abuse counseling for CCPS students at the CFF/LBH site.
